Earn 1% on tickets and 20% on Pro subscriptions

The DIY Stubs affiliate program pays you 1% of every ticket subtotal sold by an event promoter who signs up through your link, plus 20% of every DIY Stubs Pro subscription invoice they pay ($12.99/mo or $129/yr), for 12 months from the day they sign up. Promoters pay the same either way, and the buyer's total is unchanged.

Who can join

Every DIY Stubs account, organizers and attendees, gets a unique referral link when it's created. There's no application, no contract, and no minimum traffic requirement. Sign in, head to your referral dashboard, and copy the link.

How earnings work

  • 1% of ticket subtotal per paid ticket sold by your referred promoter.
  • 20% of every successful DIY Stubs Pro invoice ($12.99/mo or $129/yr) paid by your referred promoter, recurring every billing period while the 12‑month window is open.
  • 12-month window starting from the date your referral signs up, not from each sale.
  • Subtotal only. Taxes, the buyer-paid card processing fee, and any platform fee the buyer covers aren't part of the calculation.
  • Promo-coded events excluded. When an organizer attaches a DIY Stubs promo code to an event, those sales don't earn a referral payout.
  • No cap on the number of people you can refer.
Example. You refer Jane. She subscribes to Pro yearly ($129), so you earn $25.80. Over the next six months she sells $4,000 of tickets (no promo code), so you earn another $40. Total: $65.80, paid to your Stripe balance as the sales and invoices clear.

Payouts

Ticket earnings accrue as soon as a referred promoter sells a ticket and are released to your Stripe Connect balance about 3 days after each event ends. Pro earnings are released about 30 days after each invoice is paid. The short hold-back lets us cleanly handle cancellations and refunds. Once released, they follow your normal Stripe payout schedule to your bank.

If you haven't connected Stripe yet

Your earnings still accrue. After release, they show as Ready to claim in your dashboard with a prompt to connect Stripe Express. Once your account is verified and ready to receive funds, we move every pending dollar into your balance automatically. Nothing else to do after onboarding.

Refunds and cancellations

If an event is cancelled and we refund buyers, any associated referral earnings still in the hold-back window are forfeited with no payout. Earnings that have already been released are reversed where possible.

Rules and restrictions

  • No self-referrals.
  • Referrer is locked in at signup time and can't be changed later.
  • No spam, no incentivized clicks, no impersonating DIY Stubs in your outreach.
  • We may forfeit earnings tied to fraudulent, chargeback-heavy, or policy-violating referrals.
  • We can update the program rate or terms with reasonable notice (changes won't reduce earnings already accrued).
